The Vedas, ancient Indian texts that are the foundation for yoga- body-mind coordination, meditation and Ayurveda. Our mind is tremendous source of all powers and energies. By calming down our mind, we can activate desired energy to achieve our goal- may it be spiritual enlightenment or mindfulness. Though it is part of hindu scripture yet not religious. It is a scientific process.
