Thank you, dear Dr for letting your readers know about Zeigarnik Effect. As a layman I understand this phenomenon-MAYBE it happens because of our commands given to our minds to remember what is to be done. What we have done becomes secondary and not as important as what we have to do. So, we remember incomplete tasks.

In workplaces, workers are put under constant pressure by their supervisors to complete left over tasks for reaching their milestone. They seem to be highly prone to Zeigarnik effect.

In the mad race for success, our society, our family, friends and everyone too vehementally emphasize for finishing one task after another to win the race.

Without having any subjective knowledge in this area, I practically think to overcome this effect- we need to make our brain relearn by celebrating the tasks already done. We have to shift our focus from incomplete to complete tasks.
