Ms Alison curtly said, “Can’t you listen? I called you. This was the third chance I gave you. Stop telling lies. Speak the truth. Why didn’t you complete your assignment?”

Peter was standing motionless in the seventh grade. He dared not to reveal his torture in his family. Being an orphan, he was more scared of people’s false pity than his teacher’s scolding.

Peter lost his parents in a road accident at age three. Since then, he was at a distant aunt’s mercy. She was a great heart for society but a heartless mistress of a slave servant for Peter.
